First show success!

 

There were 83 riders at the May Fun Show.  That is a record for us.

Year long raffle:

 

We will be holding a raffle throughout the season for a handmade wooden rocking horse.  The tickets will be $1 for one, $5 for six.  The winning ticket will be drawn at the September 13th, Fun Time Show.  Pictures will be posted around the entry booth and club house.

The ages for the junior rodeo (ONLY THE JUNIOR RODEO) have been changed:

 

Youth is 11 and younger as of Jan 1, 2009

Junior is 12—16 as of Jan 1, 2009

 

 

Information about the new event, the “Trail Challenge” that will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009 on the grounds of the LCHA.

 

Sign-up will be from 8:00—9:00 AM.  The riders meeting to go over the rules will be at 9:00 AM sharp.  The first rider will go out at 9:30 AM. 

 

The Cost is $10 per member and $15 for non-members.

 

Join us for a day of exhibiting horsemanship and partnership.

 

There will be 3 divisions.

 

“Younguns” will be 13 & under

“I think I can” will be novice—horse (must be 6 & under)

“I know I can” - advanced

 

This will be a timed course with obstacles.  The course will include, for example, gates, back stepping over or under obstacles.  Judging will be on control & willingness.
