I have two kids riding in the Youth class, but only one horse. Can they both ride the same horse?

No.  A horse can not be ridden twice in the same class except for walk/jog and Leadline. 

How do I find out what the performance pattern is?

The performance pattern will be available at the entry booth to look at or jot down.  There will also be a copy posted to the rail  in front of the arena gate.    Please study the pattern BEFORE you enter the ring for the class.

Proper attire still stands while the riders are in the ring. Once riders are out of the ring, they may adjust to the weather. Exceptions to this rule can only be made by the Board of Directors.

Your child has to be dressed in proper attire. If you are without something, ask around. Most of the other members and/or riders have something you can borrow.

Your child will not receive a time in that class.

Walk/jog is for children to try to do patterns on their own horse at their own comfortable pace. If a parent decides to have a child’s horse on a leadline, then that child will not place in standings until all children without leads have placed.

NOTE: The parent can not go thru the timer before the horse. The parent should be along side the horse when going thru the timer.

 

What if I want to lead my child in the walk/jog class?

You are to enter when your name and/or class is called. You will only get 2 calls before being disqualified. Entrance into the ring should be from the right of the fence and exit to the left of the fence. Horses must walk when entering the ring.   Running into the ring will disqualify the rider.
